About
BOSON Research Center is a non-profit research organization promoting interdisciplinary research in the field of material science. Our aim is to explore advanced materials through both experimental methods and computational studies, including Computational Physics, Computational Chemistry, Molecular Modeling, Molecular Dynamics (MD) simulation, and related fields.
BOSON arranges training programs, workshops, and short courses for Ph.D., M.Phil., Graduate, and Undergraduate-level students who are interested or experienced in these areas of research. The objective is to equip them with the necessary skills to conduct independent research, analyze data, and publish scientific articles using their own computing environments, while nurturing their long-term interest in materials-based research.
To strengthen research activities, BOSON provides:
🎓 Research Assistant (RA) Funding: Merit-based RA funding opportunities to support student-led or collaborative research projects.
🧪 Laboratory Facilities: Access to modern experimental labs for material synthesis, characterization (e.g., XRD, SEM, FTIR), and performance evaluation.
💻 Computational Resources: High-performance computing support and access to licensed software such as VMD, LAMMPS, Gaussian, and Materials Studio.
📚 Publication & Mentorship Support: Expert mentorship in simulation, modeling, and publishing research in indexed journals.
🤝 Collaborations: Opportunities for national and international collaboration across academia and industry.
BOSON is committed to creating a dynamic platform where experimental and computational research intersect, enabling young researchers to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of material science.
WHY YOU SHOULD JOIN US?
There are lots of courses in Bangladesh where you will be paid thousands of Taka, but you will not learn anything except the basic concepts of research methodology and DFT. We have designed a course for you where everything from basic to advanced will be covered so that you can successfully handle a project from development to the publication stage from the basic level.
DFT is introduced in straightforward language in every lesson in every class, and we give access to all free and paid software to make your work easier and more meaningful.
